Highland Sweater.
Single-malt scotch distilleries. The Old Course. Loch Ness. The Isle of Skye. The Highlands. Ah, Scotland. You can't throw a featherie without hitting a castle, strewn about as they are.
Grant Castle, the ancestral home of Clan Grant. It sits just north of Grantown-on-Spey, and has since the 15th century.
Here, the dark blue, black, and green plaid known as the Black Watch tartan has its roots. It was worn first by the six “watch” companies (Clan Munro, Clan Fraser of Lovat, Clan Grant and three companies from Clan Campbell) that once patrolled the Highlands. Since this particular tartan is not designated as royal, anyone can don it with impunity.
Highland Sweater (No. 6717) A cozy and preppy item in a wonderfully soft 5-gauge wool blend. Crew neck style. Ribbing at neck, cuff, and waistband. Imported.
